Dr. Lambert began by giving us an update on the latest developments in the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease. He also explained how his wide experience of treating Lyme disease was being used to help long Covid sufferers.

We had Dr. Lambert for one hour, and he kindly agreed to answer as many questions from Napiers viewers as the remaining time allowed. Meet Dr. Jack Lambert
Dr. Jack Lambert is a Consultant in Medicine and Infectious Diseases, with extensive experience treating patients with Lyme disease and Long Covid across the UK and Ireland. Having pioneered treatment protocols for Lyme disease and worked extensively in infectious disease research, Dr. Lambert brings a wealth of expertise to this discussion.
He is also a Professor of Medicine at UCD School of Medicine, with over 25 years of experience in infectious diseases, HIV, Hepatitis C, and vaccinology. His previous work at Johns Hopkins Institutes and the University of Maryland Institute of Human Virology helped shape global infectious disease treatment strategies. As the former Lead of the National Isolation Unit of Ireland, Dr. Lambert played a crucial role in Ireland’s Ebola response and has been at the forefront of managing Covid-19 in hospital settings.
