Frequently asked questions

Botany is the scientific study of plants, including their physiology, structure, genetics, ecology, distribution, classification, and economic importance. This field is essential for developing knowledge of how plants grow and how their beneficial properties can be harnessed for health and wellness products.
Our herbal products are sourced from trusted farms that adhere to strict guidelines of sustainability and ethical farming practices. We ensure that all our plants are grown without the use of harmful pesticides and are harvested at peak potency to maximise their therapeutic benefits.
Herbal remedies can be safe when used correctly and under the guidance of a knowledgeable healthcare provider or herbalist. Like any treatment, it’s important to be aware of any potential interactions with medications or conditions. Always follow the dosage instructions and consult with a healthcare professional if you are unsure.
Choosing the right herbal remedy depends on various factors, including your specific health concerns, medical history, and any current treatments. It’s advisable to consult with a herbalist or naturopath who has experience in herbal medicine to help guide your choices.
Herbal products should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure that containers are tightly sealed to maintain their potency and prevent contamination. Follow any specific storage instructions on the product label to ensure maximum efficacy.
The shelf life of herbal products varies depending on the form of the product and its ingredients. Typically, dried herbs can last up to two years if stored properly, while tinctures and extracts may last up to three or four years. Always check the expiration date on the package and do not use products that are past their expiry date.
Like all treatments, herbal remedies can cause side effects in some individuals. Common side effects might include gastrointestinal discomfort, allergic reactions, or interactions with prescription medications. It’s important to start with smaller doses to gauge how your body reacts and consult a herbalist with any concerns.
Herbal remedies should not be used as a substitute for prescription medications without professional advice. While some herbs can complement conventional treatments, they may not be a replacement and could interact with your medications. Always discuss with your healthcare provider before making any changes to your treatment plan.
The effectiveness and the time it takes for herbal remedies to show results can vary widely based on the herb and the condition being treated. Some herbs might offer relief relatively quickly, while others may need to be taken for a longer period to observe benefits. Consistency and patience are key when using herbal treatments.
