Papaveraceae
With bright silky petals, this plant is the official state flower of California. Traditionally used to support relaxation and sleep (particularly in overactive children), colic pain. Mild sedative, analgesic, anxiolytic. Herbalists use this herb to treat insomnia, anxiety and stress, nervous bowel, neuralgia and migraines.

Usually ready in 2-4 days
Infusion: About 1-2 teaspoons of herb to a cup of cold water, bring to the boil and leave to sit for 10 minutes. Flavour with lemon, ginger or honey if desired. Drink up to 3 times a day unless otherwise told by a medical herbalist. The herb can be added as a flavouring to gin, vodka and other infusions.
