CLAID Clinic at Napiers the Herbalists

CLAID stands for Covid, Lyme And Infectious Diseases. The Napiers Claid Clinic is a co-operative group of herbalists specialising in the long-term effects of bacterial, viral and fungal infections.

We support those with recurrent or antibiotic-resistant infections such as Borrelia (Lyme), Bartonella and Babesia, as well as other ongoing infections such as urinary tract and prostate infection. We are also experienced in supporting the long-term recovery of patients after virus infections such as Covid-19, Epstein-Barr (mononucleosis), herpesviruses, cytomegalovirus (CMV), dengue, chikungunya and other viral attacks where people are left with post-viral fatigue, brain fog, poor memory and neurological problems, joint or muscular pain, persistent inflammation and/or poor immunity.

Practitioners at the Claid Clinic include medical, naturopathic, and research herbalists, Chinese TCM practitioners and counselling. We take a holistic approach advising on diet and nutrition, stress management and other lifestyle factors in addition to creating an individualised protocol of herbs or supplements. We take a patient-centred approach working collaboratively with medical doctors who specialise in infectious diseases, to ensure a safe approach to concomitant prescribing alongside prescribed medicines,
holding regular MDT and review meetings.

We are also committed to sharing knowledge and run a herbal practitioner training conference (AKESO) and a practitioner support forum.
