Reflexology & Trigger Point
Reflexology is a complementary and alternative medicine that involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or ears, called reflex points, in order to promote healing and relaxation in the body.
Reflexology is considered a holistic therapy, as it considers the whole person, including their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, practitioners work by using specific hand and thumb techniques to stimulate the reflex points. This can be done through massage, compression, and other methods, and it is usually done with the patient lying down and relaxing.
Trigger point therapy is a form of manual therapy that focuses on the identification and treatment of specific points on the body, called trigger points. These points are areas of muscle that have become "knotted" or contracted, and can cause pain, muscle weakness, and other symptoms.
Both reflexology and trigger point therapy can be used to treat a wide range of conditions, such as chronic pain, headaches, tension, and muscle strains.
