Alyssa is a Functional Herbalist, qualified in 2019, who supports women and LGBTQIA+ people living with complex, long-standing health concerns. With five years of clinical experience, she blends Western herbal medicine, functional medicine, nutrition and movement to offer thoughtful, sustained care that addresses root causes and builds lasting resilience.
She specialises in autoimmune conditions such as hypothyroidism and coeliac disease, female reproductive health including PCOS, endometriosis and PMDD, and chronic issues such as pain, IBS, constipation and reflux. She works particularly well with patients who feel unheard or stuck in cycles of symptoms that never quite resolve.
At the heart of her practice is the protocol—a structured, collaborative process designed to help you reclaim the most vibrant, healthy version of yourself. Each protocol is individualised, created from scratch after an in-depth conversation and comprehensive review of your health history. It is holistic and multi-pronged, weaving in adjustments to food habits, movement, lifestyle, supplements and herbal medicines. Recommendations are scalable, breaking big changes into manageable steps, and sustainable, shaped to fit your real life so that new habits actually stick. Progress is measurable, grounded in clear goals and regular check-ins to track what’s shifting and why.
Alyssa’s approach is both evidence-informed and deeply holistic. She honours the lineage of traditional herbalism while engaging critically with modern healthcare, holding that good medicine is compassionate, contextual, and conscious of the wider systems we all live within. Her aim is to help patients uncover what “healthy” truly means for them—and to support the steady, practical habit changes required to get there.
Here's what patients have to say about working with Alyssa:
“Balanced blood sugar, quality of sleep, improved hair and nail health, menstrual cycles regulated, dry calloused spots on knees and toes completely gone, joint pain eliminated… debilitating sneezing days down to a minimum… and the ability to handle stress and decompress. I went from getting out of breath with an easy walk to running a 5k! My emotional well-being has improved drastically and in turn so has my family’s.” -Renee
“This programme was sustainable, achievable, and genuinely life-changing. Alyssa listened deeply and built a thoughtful plan that truly fit my lifestyle. She explained the science, the supplements, the food piece, the movement—everything made sense. I loved understanding why each step mattered and how they built on one another. I’m walking away not only with results but with knowledge and tools I can always reference. I felt heard, supported, and championed every step of the way. I am in SUCH an amazing place mentally, physically, and emotionally because of this work.” -Taylor
Rooted in a salutogenic model of care, Alyssa has seen that chronic conditions need time, consistency and personalised support to shift. She works with patients over a minimum of six weeks (four bi-weekly appointments), offering structure, accountability and space to explore what thriving looks like in the reality of modern life.
Outside the clinic, Alyssa cultivates a bottomless and enduring love for movement and an affinity for wild things, nourishing herself through weightlifting, dance, cooking GF treats and searching the world for glimmers great and small.
