Thank you for joining
I hope you enjoyed Napiers Festival Foraging, and that you found it informative and insightful.
I have outlined some book recommendations and further resources for you below.
Amy

Mushrooms - Roger Phillips
This is also known as the fungi bible, and a great place to start.

Mushrooms of Britain and Ireland - Collins

Mushrooms & Toadstools of Britain and Europe Vol 1/Vol 2 - Kibby
I highly recommend the Kibby books as he ties in tree ID too, keeping everything in the same place. Using more than one book can really help as it gives you an extra point to check against.
Mushroom Web Resources
books are always better but websites can help you investigate further and check look-a-likes.
I would recommend Galloway Wild Food and First Nature for fungi.
Tap here or the button below for your free PDF download, which outlines the process we talked through to identify mushrooms.
Wild Plants Book Recommendations

The Wild Flower Key - Francis Rose
It won't tell you what is edible so once you have identified what you have further research is required.

British Wildflower Guide - Collins

British Tree Guide - Collins
Wild Plants Web Resources
The Woodland Trust has a super tree ID resource.
We touched on the Wildbiome Project and my three months of eating wild food.
To find out more about what it is like eating a wild diet and how to use these ingredients, I recommend picking up The Wilderness Cure. Plus it is a great read!
Herbal Balms Recommendations
I recommend 'The Handmade Apothecary' by Kim Walker and Vicky Chown.
