Sophie Ní Loinsigh

Sophie is a fully accredited (ITEC) and insured Therapeutic Massage Therapist. Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Sophie grew up surrounded by nature and racehorses. It was while working with horses from an early age that she first gained an understanding of therapeutic touch as a powerful means to support healing and recovery. This understanding, alongside a passion for the natural world, formed the foundations for a deep and continuous interest in holistic health and wellbeing.

Sophie’s journey into holistic health and complementary therapies continued during her professional training in the performing arts and contemporary dance. During this time, while training in Ireland, France, the US and the UK, she was introduced to the mind/body practices of yoga, somatic therapy, massage and alexander technique. Having experienced the benefits of these holistic practices on both a professional and personal level, she was compelled to share them with others.

In 2012, Sophie trained in Holistic Massage with Holistic College Dublin, closely followed by Advanced Deep Tissue Massage with Pure Massage London. She is also a qualified Pregnancy Masseuse and Reiki Practitioner. Sophie participates in regular continuous professional development, with completed CPD courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Women’s Health, Herbs and Nutrition. Presently, she is working towards a Diploma in Acupuncture and Certificate in Western Medicine under the tutelage of Medical Doctor and Acupuncturist, Dr Vincent Carroll.

Sophie works regularly with professional dancers, athletes and mums to be - her specific areas of interest include the performing body and the role of therapeutic touch as a means to facilitate trauma recovery.

Alongside therapeutic bodywork, Sophie has a strong interest in Western Herbalism, sparked whilst working with master herbalists at Neal’s Yard Remedies in London. She is now delighted to work as part of the herbal and wider clinic team at the Napiers clinics.

Whether in search of a remedial focused session, or a more relaxing therapeutic experience, her approach is person centred and body positive. Sophie tailors each treatment according to your specific needs - ensuring a safe space is created for your body to simply be, relax and recuperate.

All treatments include an initial consultation and detailed aftercare advice.
