Sida acuta

A food supplement to support your health sometimes known as common wireweed. 

Extracts such as tinctures or essences offer a convenient alternative to herbal teas. They may also be used in food, food supplements, cosmetics and as a starter ingredient by herbalists in prescription formulas.

Ingredients

NAPIERS

Sida acuta extracted in ethanol (alcohol). The part used is the leaf. The strength is 1:2 50%. Suggested serving size of 2.5 ml. 

MONTANA FARMACY

Sida acuta extracted in organic cane ethanol (alcohol). The part used is the leaf. The strength is 1:5 61-71%. Suggested serving size of 1.2 ml contains 647 mg of herb. This product is gluten free and does not contain GMO material.

Directions

NAPIERS

Adults: Take 2.5ml in a little water 3 times a day unless otherwise directed by your practitioner.

MONTANA FARMACY

Adults: Stated serving size 1.2 ml (20-30 drops) taken 2 to 3 times a day, unless otherwise told by a qualified herbal medicine practitioner. This amount may be added to cold or warm water, juice or another drink.

Cautions

Only use this tincture under the advice of a medical or herbal medicine practitioner.

Contraindications

Do not use if you are pregnant or if you are planning to become pregnant. 

Not all herbs are suitable in breastfeeding or for young children, or if you are unwell, have health concerns or an ongoing illness.

Side effects

Sida acuta can cause increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, stroke or seizures in some individuals. This is rare. If a side effect is experienced please let us know.

Drug Interactions

Sida may lower blood glucose and you should monitor this closely if you are taking metformin or a diabetic medication. Foods, herbs and food supplements can interact with some medicines.
