Dip. Nut, MBANT
Sarah trained for three years as a Nutritional Therapist with The College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM). She is a member of the British Association of Nutritional Therapists (BANT). Her aim is to help her clients to nourish their bodies as a natural way to improving their health and wellbeing.
Before your appointment with Sarah you will be asked to fill in a questionnaire and to complete a three day diet diary. The initial appointment takes an hour and a half. This allows plenty of time to take a detailed medical history and discuss your current diet and lifestyle.
After assessing your individual needs Sarah will tailor a treatment plan for you involving dietary changes, lifestyle advice and the use of nutritional supplements. Usually the treatment follows a staged approach to allow you to make changes at your own pace, often with a general diet clean up paving the way for more specific treatment. At least one follow up appointment is recommended, each lasting 45 minutes.
Sarah uses IWDL and York Test laboratories for biochemical testing where useful to get to the root cause of health problems.
Nutritional therapy can benefit a wide variety of conditions. Good digestive health and nutrition means better absorption and utilisation of the vital nutrients needed for energy production, good immune function, healthy hormone balance, clear skin and balanced moods.
Nutritional therapy is suitable for people who want help with a specific health condition or for those who are just after guidance in healthy eating.
Sarah can provide information sheets, meal ideas and recipes to back up advice given during the appointments. She is also available for support via e-mail if you have questions between appointments.
