Baby Napiers Mother To Be Raspberry Leaf Tea

By Napiers

Raspberry leaf helps mums-to-be prepare for delivery

Raspberry Leaf Tea is a tasty herbal tea drunk by mothers-to-be in the last three months of pregnancy as they prepare for giving birth - that special, wonderful day! It can also be drunk after the big day during the months when you are breastfeeding and trying to get back to your old self and shape. Although life will never be the same again!

What Raspberry Leaf Tea does

• Tones and strengthens
• Helps prepare for birth
• Restores tone after the birth

Raspberry leaf is best taken as a warm, but not too hot infusion. Although traditionally mothers have drunk a cupful a day from the third month, current safety advice recommends that raspberry leaf tea is not drunk until the last trimester.

From month six you can drink up to three cups per day. Use one generous teaspoon per cup.

Raspberry leaf tea can also be enjoyed by dad and children over five (half a cup) and is a great alternative to squashes or sweet drinks.

Many teas are sold in teabags these days. Our Napiers herbal teas are not and there are good reasons why not. A teabag only contains around 2 or 3 grams of very dry, finely chopped or powdered herbs. We believe that not chopping herbs into tiny pieces, which dries out their natural oils, helps to preserve their beneficial goodness.

We also like to vary the strength of our teas. We all come in different shapes, states or sizes, and so does our taste and need for a good cup of tea!

It’s very easy to use loose tea and doesn’t have to involve chopping down a tree to make the paper for a tea bag! Use a tea strainer or tea ball.

Compost loves loose too!

100g Box. Not currently available to customers in the EU.

Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Contains: Dried Rubus idaeus fol (Raspberry leaf)*. *Organically sourced.

As the season changes there will be slight variation in the herbs, such as the colour, and the taste can vary slightly from harvest to harvest.

Put one teaspoon of the herb in a small teapot of boiling water. Allow to steep for 5-10 minutes. Strain and add honey to sweeten if desired.

Also drink Raspberry leaf after birth as it is thought to tone and strengthen the pelvic tissues, helping the uterus to contract. Raspberry leaf is also one of the ingredients in our Precious Cuddles: Nursing Tea.

After your baby is born you can also combine 1/3 raspberry leaf with 1/3 nettle leaf and 1/3 alfafa tops to make a delicious tea that will help you to beat the baby blues and feel refreshed and on top of things.

Our raspberry leaf is grown on organic farms to certified organic standards. As the supply varies according to the season and availability, we use several farms with different certifying bodies which is why this pack does not carry the logo of a specific certifying body.

When you are pregnant, you should only drink this tea in the last 3 months of pregnancy and after birth. Raspberry leaf should NOT be taken by women in the first 6 months of pregnancy. If you are not sure if this tea is suitable for you, or you have had complications during your pregnancy, ask your healthcare practitioner first before drinking this tea.

Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
