Nigel Fawthrop

Nigel is a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC). He has also been studying Nutritional Therapy for over 3 years, achieving a diploma in Nutrition and Health and is currently completing his clinical practice training in nutritional therapy. Nigel is a student member of BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine), which requires stringent adherence to guidelines and professional conduct. He is also a member of the Institute of Functional Medicine (FMCA Graduate).

Nigel is passionate about health and also recognises the connection between mind and body believing that what you eat has a significant effect on health and wellbeing. In addition, Nigel believes that other factors such as sleep, movement/exercise, stress and relationships can also have a significant impact on health. Addressing these factors has been considered as forming a foundational base to improving health and wellbeing and which can be supportive of other therapy.

Nigel is keen to work with people who are committed to improving their life and their health. He believes that health coaching has the potential to significantly impact and support improvements in health and support the attainment of goals when the client is committed and when a strong positive alliance is formed with the coach.

Nigel worked in project management for many years and decided upon a career change to follow his passion in nutrition, health and wellness. His aim is to help support, educate and empower people in their desired behaviour change and health improvement, ultimately to help people live their lives more fully and move towards longer term improved health and healthy aging.

Being an integrative complementary therapy, health coaching works well alongside other complementary therapies as well as conventional medicine.
