Gardeners Tea Blend

A gentle tea for the active to help relax after strenuous exercise.

A pleasant, soothing tea for when you've run a marathon, overdone  it at the gym, bent over backwards weeding or carried a box too far. Sometimes we need to just relax and unwind our muscles and get comfortable again. This herbal tea is a supplement that supports the muscles and joints.

Apium graveolens (Celery seed)
Mentha spicata (Spearmint)
Rosa centifolia (Rose) petals
Viburnum opulus (Cramp bark)

As the season changes there will be slight variation in the herbs, such as the colour, and the taste can vary slightly from harvest to harvest.

Directions

Two teaspoons of herb to a large teapot of boiling water. Allow to steep for 5-10 minutes. Strain and add honey or lemon to taste.

Going Loose!

Many teas are sold in teabags these days. Our Napiers herbal teas are not and there are good reasons why not. A teabag only contains around 2 or 3 grams of very dry, finely chopped or powdered herbs. We believe that not chopping herbs into tiny pieces, which dries out their natural oils, helps to preserve their beneficial goodness.

We also like to vary the strength of our teas. We all come in different shapes, states or sizes, and so does our taste and need for a good cup of tea!

It’s very easy to use loose tea and doesn’t have to involve chopping down a tree to make the paper for a tea bag! Use a tea strainer or tea ball.

Compost loves loose too!
