Lion’s Mane – Yamabushitake – Hou Tou Gu
Growing on hardwood trees in temperate forests across the northern hemisphere, Lion’s Mane is a delicious culinary mushroom with a growing reputation as a mushroom supplement.
Lion’s Mane’s unique properties are due to two families of compounds that it produces: the erinacines and hericenone.
It is traditionally eaten to support the immune and digestive systems, and is a popular supplement to support the cognitive function and nervous system as we grow older, especially in menopausal women and the elderly.
One to three capsules a day or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus) mycelial biomass and fruiting body combination for a full range of cyathane derivatives (hericinones and erinacines).
The mushroom biomass used to manufacture MycoNutri Hericium erinaceus capsules is grown for us in the USA on sterile grain-based substrate in an FDA regulated facility. The biomass contains the full spectrum of active metabolites from the mycelium and young fruiting body of the mushroom, including beta-glucans, other intra- and extra-cellular polysaccharides, phytosterols (including ergosterol – provitamin D2), proteoglycans and cyathane derivatives (especially erinacines). We then blend it with cultured Lion’s Mane fruiting body rich in hericinones in order to capture the full spectrum of this remarkable mushroom.
