Tinctured Herbal Extracts

An extract, also called a tincture or essence, is an extract of plant material in alcohol. They are used in making cosmetics, making your own herbal remedies, for adding to drinks and in food recipes. Since 2011, EU law limits us to selling only non-medicinal tinctures. This is not easy to define this as many herbs have both food, cosmetic and medicinal uses, with only the strength of the dose to differentiate the purpose.

Many prescription medications cannot be taken with herb or food products. Please ask if you are unsure.
