Soothing and smoothing for dry, itchy, scaly skin

Oregon grape root (Mahonia aquifolium) is a herb with a long history of use in skin creams. It is also sometimes added to internal skin tonics for people with usually dry, itchy skin that is prone to scaling or flaking. It may be helpful as a moisturising emollient for those prone to psoriasis, as helps to keep the skin well-moisturised, soothed, plumped and even.
