Cat began her training in massage therapy in 2010 with an ITEC accredited qualification in Holistic Massage. This diploma combined traditional Swedish massage techniques with the principles of mindfulness and meditation to create an excellent grounding in client care and body work.

Since 2013, Cat has increased her skills and expanded her understanding of anatomy and physiology by undertaking a qualification in Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy with the Jing Institute of Advanced Massage Training. This allows her to offer appropriate clinical application and integration of Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy and Advanced Sports Stretching, whilst using Eastern techniques of acupressure, meridian lines and mindfulness.

During an appointment with Cat, she will assess your motivation for receiving treatment and create an appropriate individual treatment plan. This plan could be primarily to combat stress and for relaxation or it could be more focused on specific muscle work to deal with tight or painful areas of the body.

Cat originally trained in the visual arts, completing a BA and MA in traditional tapestry weaving.  Because of a progressive visual impairment, Cat retrained in massage therapy in order to possess an entirely touch-based skill, and feels incredibly lucky to have discovered body work as it is such a rewarding profession.
