Alan is a fully qualified Five Element Acupuncturist and has been practising this wonderful system of medicine at Napiers Clinic in the West End of Glasgow for the past 18 years.

He has successfully helped patients with arthritis, back pain, stress, infertility, gynaecological problems, allergies, headaches/migraine, sports injuries, and digestive problems.

Alan trained at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa founded by the late J. R. Worsley(1923-2003) credited with bringing Five Element Acupuncture to the West. He was a faculty member of the College of Traditional Acupuncture (Glasgow) in 1998. He is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC) and the Acupuncture Fertility Network (AFN), and for the past 5 years has been an associate of the Natural Fertility Centre (NFC) Edinburgh helping hundreds of couple with their fertility problems.

Alan has now become one of Scotland’s leading experts on Traditional Five Element Acupuncture and fertility.

What makes this ancient system of medicine so uniquely suited to modern life is that physical, emotional and mental aspects are seen as interdependent, and this reflects what many people perceive as the connection between the different aspects of their lives.

The focus of my acupuncture treatment is on the individual, not their illness, and all their symptoms are seen in relation to each other. Each patient is unique and two people with the same western medicine diagnosis may well receive different acupuncture treatment.
