Cooling Chickweed Bottom Balm
A natural, calming barrier ointment for delicate, baby bottoms
A soft natural ointment for delicate, baby bottoms with cooling Chickweed, soothing Chamomile & Calendula.
Many barrier ointments contain paraffin wax which is a petroleum derivative. Our bottom balm uses only plant oils and herbal extracts so that only the purest ingredients sit next to your baby's skin between nappy changes. The flower extracts help to soothe any redness or soreness in this sensitive area, and guard against the painful irritation caused by a wet nappy. Napiers skincare has been tried, tested and trusted by generations of mums since 1860.
Apply liberally, after nappy (diaper) changes, to your baby’s bottom. Pay special attention to skin creases and folds, to soothe and protect sensitive skin from moisture.
Ingredients: Aqua (water), helianthis annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, Stellaria media (Chickweed) herb, Calendula officinalis (Marigold) flowers, Matricaria recutita (German Chamomile) flowers, Cera alba (Beeswax), tocopherol (Vitamin E).
Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Current experience and literature indicates that chickweed can be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Plant extracts cause few side effects however if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and you are unsure if you need to take extra care, please speak to us, or your healthcare practitioner, before using this product.
Chickweed is mentioned in an article about eczema in babies and children by Dee Atkinson, MNIMH.
