Ashwagandha also known as Indian cherry (Withania somnifera) has a long traditional use as a superfood to support energy levels in times of fatigue and tiredness. The root is ground and powdered and added to warm milk, often in the evening as a nourishing bedtime drink. Traditionally it was mixed with equal parts of ghee and honey.
Often taken by those taking seaweed capsules to ensure sufficient iodine intake. Iodine contributes to the production of thyroid hormones, normal thyroid function, normal cognitive function (e.g. thinking, problem solving and memory skills) and to normal energy yielding metabolism.

Pure 100% Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) powder
Usually 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon is added to a drink once or twice daily. Up to 6 grams a day can be taken.

There are no recorded side effects for normal use of this product. However, in very large amounts it can cause discomfort and diarrhoea. If a side effect is experienced please let us know.
